Enter session details using button 1. Load a WAV file using button 2. The waveform appears automatically. Click anywhere on the waveform to jump to that position.

Press Play (or Space) to listen. When you hear an utterance start, press Mark onset (or Enter). The button turns purple. When the utterance ends, press again to mark the offset. A new utterance row is created automatically on the first press.

Type the transcript in the utterance row. Edit the speaker code by typing directly — it defaults to CHI. Click any row to make it active; Enter marks apply to the active row.

Edit timestamps directly in the onset/offset fields if needed. Use ▲▼ to reorder rows. Click ▶ on any row to play just that segment.

Press Export .cha to download a CLAN-compatible CHAT file with •onset_offset• bullet annotations on each utterance tier.
The utterance counter at the bottom tracks total and aligned utterances. SUGAR-based analysis requires 50 utterances.
